The Al Asr Muharram program aims to foster the love of the Ahlul Bayt (as) to children through the recitation of marsiya and nawha and to learn and apply the lessons learnt from the supreme sacrifice of Imam Husayn (as), his family and companions in the tragedy of Kerbala.
This year our topic is: Imam Zayn ul-’Abideen (as) and Risalatul Huquq.
The objective for this year’s program is twofold:
- To highlight the role Imam Zayn ul-’Abideen (as) played in the propagation of Islam after the events of Kerbala.
- To examine the beautiful work of Imam Zayn ul-’Abideen (as) where he teaches us about the rights and responsibilities towards ourselves and others. These teachings have been compiled in a book called Risalatul Huqooq meaning The Treatise of Rights.
