It is with sadness that we share the news of the demise of Br. Mohamed Jaffer Ahmed Nanji Kara who passed away in Toronto.

Salāt al-Mayyit will be at the Jaffari Community Centre today Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 2:15 pm. Thereafter, burial will be at York Cemetery (101 Senlac Road).

Based on our ability to manage the distancing requirements for the congregation, a limited number of pre-registered immediate relatives and volunteers will attend Salāt al-Mayyit and the burial. 
Mu’mīnīn attending the funeral will be required to wear masks, requested to refrain from any physical contact (shaking hands, embracing) and ensure that they respect the physical distancing requirements.

Marhūm was the husband of Gulshan Kara and father of Jamila Devji (Toronto), Nowsheen Jaffer (Fareham, England), and Arzina Jaffer (Orlando). He was the grandfather of Muhammad Yasin Devji, Rizwan Devji, Shaista Mamdani, Sajida Jaffer, Aliredha Jaffer, Sajjad Jaffer, Muntazir Jaffer and Mahdi Jaffer
