It is with sadness that we share the news of the demise of Marhum Haji Husseinali Walji of Markham who passed away in Edmonton on Friday, November 18th, 2016.
 
Salaatul Mayyit will take place on Sunday, November 20th, 2016 (20th Safar 1438), 9:30 am at the Jaffari Community Centre. We will then proceed for burial to
Wadi-us-salaam, Al-Husseni Foundation, Elgin Mills/Kennedy Road.
Marhum was the husband of late Kulsumbai and late Zainabbai Walji and brother of Sherbanubai Rajpar of Birmingham. He was the father of Akberali Walji of Edmonton, Jafferali Walji of Toronto, Mohamedparviz Walji of Toronto, late Rukiyabai Damji of Dar es Salaam, Mariambai Hudda of Edmonton, Kubrabai Moti of Bukoba, Rashidabai Mohamedali of Edmonton, Ruhedabai Karim of Toronto, and Nasimbai Walji of Toronto.
Marhum served the community in Uganda for over 40 years in various committees and was a founding member and president of the Birmingham Jamaat. He was also a former trustee of Peterborough Jaamat of England. Marhum was the oldest member of the Khoja Ithnasheri community.
He is also survived by his 17 grand children; Mumtaz Z Walji, Masuma H Walji, Salma Walji, Gulamabbas Hudda, Fatim Jamal Hudda, Shanu Mohamedali, Siddika Mohamedali Sheik, Mohammadshafik Damji, Riaz Walji, Sheila Walji Raza, Sukaina Walji Karim, Neelam Walji Jivraj, Zaheerabbas Karim, Sarah Karim, Gulamabbas Moti, Late Neelam Moti, Sheila(mimi) Walji and 16 great grand children.
