He was the father of Iqbal Jessa (Toronto) and Saira Sunderji (Mombasa) and father-in-law of Tahera Jessa (Toronto) and Hasnain Sunderji (Mombasa). He was the brother of Marhūm Mohamed Jessa (Vancouver), Marhūm Hussein Jessa (Toronto), Fida Jessa (London), Roshan Jessa (Toronto), Shiraz Jessa (Dar es Salaam), Rubab Jetha (Leicester), Laila Sunderji (Mombasa), Rukiya Jamal (London) and Naseem Jessa (Dar es Salaam). He was the grandfather of Ali-Yasir, Ailya, and Azra Jessa; Asiyah Moledina, Summayah, Azeem and Fatema Sunderji and great grandfather of Zainab and Hassan Jessa and Aaminah and Aabidah Moledina.
