Dear …
As you know, I am observing the holy month of Ramadan, where I fast from the break of dawn to sunset. Every year, my mosque, the Jaffari Community Centre, hosts an interfaith iftar(breaking of the fast meal) where we invite our friends, colleagues and neighbours to join us. I’d like to extend an invitation to you to join me on Sunday, March 24, 2024, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) and truly experience the essence of Ramadan with me and my community.
We will have a brief gathering with all our guests and participate in some activities (calligraphy, pictures, henna and more), followed by a program with our entire congregation including some remarks by our religious scholar, some interactive activities, prayers and the iftar meal. Ramadan is an opportunity to connect with others and recognized our shared values, spread generosity, kindness and show empathy and it would be an honour to have you there. I hope you can make it!
Please let me know if you have any questions.
