IMPORTANT UPDATE – Vaccination Policy
To our community members and attendees,
We hope you are all keeping well and safe.
During the past few months, we have seen an increase of attendees at our Centres. We have been pleased with the response to our programs and how diligently our members, volunteers and attendees have adhered to our COVID-19 procedures and protocols.
As the situation surrounding COVID-19 has been anything but steady, we need to ensure that we do not get complacent and proceed to move towards fully reopening our Centres in the safest way we can.
Vaccination Policy
As of October 25, 2021, the Provincial Government has allowed certain businesses, organizations and houses of worship to lift capacity and physical distancing requirements in their settings if they choose to require patrons and congregants to show proof of vaccination.
Keeping our members’ best interest in mind, the ISIJ of Toronto has decided that all those attending our Centres MUST show proof of vaccination. This policy will be in effect from December 9, 2021. Exemptions will be considered for those who are unable to be vaccinated due to medical and health reasons.
We believe this is the next step we need to take to keep everyone safe whilst continuing to fully reopen our Centres. Ensuring all in attendance are fully vaccinated will provide an additional layer of protection and minimize the risk of an outbreak. These guidelines will be subject to amendment from guidelines from the Province and/or local Public Health authorities.
With the vaccination policy to be in place, we will still continue to adhere to COVID-19 protocols, that include the wearing of masks, registering to attend programs, prescreening, sanitization of high traffic areas and other procedures as we currently have in place to ensure our Centres remain safe.
Getting your Vaccine
Preserving the health of the community is an individual and social responsibility, we therefore encourage you all to get vaccinated, should it be safe for you to do so. We encourage you to get your vaccination between now and our implementation date of December 9, 2021.
You can visit the Ontario COVID-19 vaccination website for more information on vaccinations and to book an appointment.
For any questions or concerns, please know that we are here for our membership. Do not hesitate to contact us.
With your prayers and duas we can continue to work through these challenging times together.
With Salaams,
